

The term “Pandas” comes from the term “Panel Data”. Released under the three-clause BSD license, Pandas has a variety of data structures and operations to offer for the manipulation of numerical tables and time series. It has been built on top of the NumPy package of Python (Pandas cannot be used without the usage of NumPy). Pandas was developed by Wes McKinney in 2008.
